g2 Energy COVID-19 statement – protecting our staff, our contractors and our customers

30thJul

As g2 Energy begins to prepare for the reopening of our offices this week, we continue to live by our ethos of a safe workplace for all. The Covid-19 pandemic has seen a new way of working for both our construction sites and office workers, and we are taking our responsibilities as an employer very seriously.

Our HSEQ team have been working throughout the pandemic to ensure a safe environment for all our employees, contractors and stakeholders. The team have worked with the Directors & Senior Management team, and meticulously tracked Government guidelines in order to establish policies and procedures to help keep our sites, warehouse and offices safe.

Some of the changes we have implemented involve;

  • Increased levels of hygiene – we are carrying out regular deep cleans of areas where staff are working, as well as daily cleans of communal areas
  • A clear desk policy – this enables us to give surfaces a more thorough clean
  • Risk assessment – we have carried out a Coronavirus Risk Assessment which is available to all employees
  • Social distancing – social distancing is to be strictly maintained in all warehouse, office and site locations. This includes the closure of communal staff areas and the movement of some desks
  • Working from home – most office based staff will continue to work from home, with support from the company to make this as easy possible.
  • PPE & Hand sanitiser – is available in all site, office and warehouse locations
  • Covid-19 Safe System of Work procedure – being communicated to all employees via email, the shared company intranet and printed copies on notice boards.
